From 17 until 24 May 2010 the Helena visited Düsseldorf, in Germany. During a local maritime festival the ship was open for the public, but there were also short sailingtrips on the Rhine with guests.
In april the Oosterschelde welcomed a large number of Italian trainees onboard durting the race from Genoa to Trapani (both in Italy). And according to them, the Oosterschelde was by far the best ship that was competing in this race.
During the voyages past the Hebrides the ship will also bring a visit to Stornoway. After our visit in 2009, they were very pleased that they could announce our visit in 2010.
In the British magazine Classic Boats a series on traditional Tall Ships appeared. In March 2010 the subject of attention was the Oosterschelde, which also has a good fan-base in Great-Britain.
